This is mainly aimed at Stefan Chodzynski as he's put a setup on here. How do the Moorespeed tyre setups differ from Sorex etc? Thanks Skiddins |

im not 100% as i havent personally tested the tyres but ive heard there just more understeery, so a setup that would cause a bit of over steer or lots of steering on sorex tyres would work well |

They differ to sorex in that they are crap and sorex aren't! ![]() They wear very quickly and have a huge side wall which causes all sorts off issues! They also seem to have quite a small operating temp window, if you don't work them hard enough they get gunk build up, if you work them too hard they over heat! A lot of unhappy people where these have just been run, I'm changing classes so I can go back to sorex!! |

Also Skiddins if you take a look at Alex Hagberg's ETS setups, Eric Dankel, Martin Hudy etc you may find their set ups useful also. |

Stefan, appreciate the advice, I also noticed you posted a setup for the tyres last week, unfortunately I didnt see it until after the event. I hear what you are saying about the tyres, but I only had 3 runs on them, 3 of the tyres are now shot, all for different reasons, 1 had a hole in it, 1 a slight tear and 1 had a nasty ridge build up. On top of that, I also noticed a large crack in one of the wheels - and no its not because I cant drive ![]() I wont be using the tyres again though, you may be right that you can over drive sorex tyres without knowing about it, but if that's the case, what is wrong with that? Surely it would suit a much higher % of driver than that of the moorespeeds? I personally work my tyres pretty hard, with the moorespeed's I was obviously overheating them too quickly (maybe I had too much droop?), but on the flip side, a driver I was pitting with is silky smooth with his driving, he was having to use tyre warmers before the race, 2 minutes in he would have no grip and a load of additive buildup becase he wasn't working his tyres hard enough! The operating range of these tyres seems to be very small compared to the sorex. As I said previously, I'll be running 10.5t next time, hoping to chase you down at some point.......... ![]() |

Yep totally agree with you about the Sorex Mark, they are by far the easiest and most forgiving tyres on the market for the general racer (in my experience) I cant really comment on the rim quality as I have never had a rim crack and any tyre tbh. haha i look forward to racing against you ![]() Stef |
