I´m experiencing a lot of body roll on my t2 008. Noticed that the motor is scratch from it. Running 17.5 non turbo on tarmac and using the factory set up on the. In some corners it´s almost on two wheels and coming out of corners i can´t quite get the drive since it´s leaning so much. Would you change the roll centre or go for stiffer springs. I´m using the ltc-r body shell. |

higher a little bit roll center wider rear wheelbase anti-roll bar on rear stiffer springs as you see you've a lot of options |

I am really surprised you are experiencing this using kit settings. Try the car with a different bodyshell, in my experience the LTC-R is quite unforgiving and very pointy. Check the car to make sure it is setup properly and nothing is binding/broken. I cannot recall off-and the 008 kit settings but I agree with Stanley fit a rear roll bar if one is not present. Taking the actions suggested by Stanley will all help BUT I just do not think the 008 should be handling like this. The only variable to my 008 experience is the bodyshell which I never ran on the 008. |

Maybe it's just different tyres. I use GRP rubber tyres that I have left and VTEC tyres. The GRP have a bigger diameter that will lift the CG very noticable. With the kit setup I had pretty much a good feeling on the smaller VTEC and with the same setup and the bigger GRP I have had a lot of rolling and even roll overs. |

Dont´t get me wrong. The car does handle quite well. Good balance, good traction. Good turn in and good in slow corners. It´s in medium to fast corners the car rolls a lot, and it´s more so with the ltc-r then when i used the mazda 6. I still manage to do okish lap times. Realized there are a few things different on the setup on my car, using the softest chassis flex and asphalt-spec upper deck. When one of the team drivers helped me with setup up a few weeks ago and he did say he thought the suspension was rather soft. What i´m looking for is to keep similar balance to the car but dialing out the roll in fast corners. And regarding tyres, i´m using either RP30 or sorex 32 and i can´t notice any difference. I just wanted to hear how other people would change the setup to improve the car. I know it difficult if you haven´t seen or driven the, but i´m trying to udnerstand what all the setup options do and effetc the car. |
