Can everybody tell me what is the function of the front Caster and rear Outboard Toe?

I usually see on page setups that Caster is more used the standar 4º, and the outboard I usually always see 0º.

Thank you very much.

Caster deals with the angle of the kingpins at the front of the car. 0 degrees caster would have the kingpin straight up and down relative to the front suspension arm. The more caster you add, the top of the kingpin is moved further back in the suspension.

If point "x" in the diagram is the front of the car:

Negative Caster (not possible in current Xray TC's)

x \

Positive Caster

x /

As you add more caster, the car will generally be less aggressive in the middle of the corner, but more aggressive on initial turn in and corner exit.

Outboard toe when used in the rear will generally provide more rotation from the back end than just inboard toe. If you ran 2 degrees of inboard toe and 1 degree of outboard toe, your car would rotate better through the middle of the corner than if you ran simply 3 degrees of inboard toe.

Ok, thank you very much.

I would like to practice with 6º caster, and 1º outboard with 2º inboard

I will post when I had practiced.

Regards.
