The following is the setup for my car on Sunday;

Car was very good but lacked slight corner speed to keep up with top spot.
Anyone have any idea's as to what to look at?

I also tried LTC-R body (bit unpredictable but with setup changes might work well)
1mm ackermann
1mm on front C-hub
Camber links short at both ends. (The Max Carbon roll centre clamps are equivalent to Xrays outer and middle holes)

What I have have on the sheet was the best of what I tried on the day, and to onlookers it was said to look really good and stable.
But dringing it I know I need just a little bit more.
With the exception of one lap the first place guy was only 0.1 on fastest lap all day
ECS Front and rear
Spec-R gear diff - 1000 oil
Max carbon roll centre's; short front link, long rear (height same as L1 & L2 etc)

Lap times were down for everybody, rain washed away grip and some dust etc.

Hi Skiddens, I run an 009 not a T3 but looking at it generically. The first thing I noticed with the setup is that you have all the shocks well laid over, which will make it an easier drive but not necessarily the fastest. Of course an easy drive potentially means less mistakes which potentially means faster race time - but that wasn't the way Schumacher setup his Ferrari :D

You might want to try shortening the front track width for better turn in and rotation if you feel the front is pushing. Try the 1.15 or 1.0mm shims

i would also try 2 degrees front camber which might give more front grip so will aid in the steering.

Do you really only have 0.5mm shims on the rear hub? if so, your rear will be really stuck.

Corner speed usually comes from the rear end geometry, as a first point of call I would go back to 4mm shims on the rear upright. Next I would run the same oil front and rear and finally I would go to a harder rear bar. For more initial turn in try the H roll centre (+1mm) on the front

you can also try to treat in front tires only the inner half
it will give more turn in but i can also see a little bit oversteer

Try adjusting the cars rake. Drop front end or raise rear end.
Will give a small bias change to the front end resulting in a steering gain.
Could try taking some rear toe out... go to 2.5degs and see what that feels like.
Put the 1.2mm or even 1.3mm swaybar on the back.
400cst in the front shocks?
As an experiment, try a bit of front inboard toe-out (sway the front arms back a little).

Some ideas.

Cheers
Andrew

Hi Skiddens,

I personally know some drivers that have found the LTC-R to be very good. In the end though I dumped it this weekend and have gone back to the Speed 6. I eventually got it working very nicely with super turn in but it seems to me that it is, or rather was for me, working in a very small window of the right balance of adhesion. Lose tyre or track grip and it completely lost rear grip - excellent one qualie and appalling the next, like an on-off switch and a simple tuning step like dropping the rear shocks a notch (for an 009!) would not sort it.
