I'm building a T3R and need some advice on gearing.
It is my first 1/10 so i'm not to sure about wich pinion to use.

Motor: Castel creation 5700kv Sidewinder V2 combo
LIPO: 2s
Spur: 84

Any tips?

On what kind of track are you going to race?
Large? Tight?

The motor is quite powerful I would guess something around 7.
But you have to check motor temperature after some minutes!

Noone can tell you an exact & working gearing if he doesnt know the track and has the same motor.

Thanks for your responce cypher.

I'm going to drive the T3R on a local carpark (Asphalt) long straight and only a view corners.
Do you mean using a spur of 7 or do you mean a FDR of around 7.

I would try a FDR between 7 and 8 and check for the temperature of ESC and motor.
If both are not too hot than work in the direction of FDR 6.
