Does the "Old" battery holder for 6 in line cell will work on the new Fk'05? thanks |

I am confused now, You have two options to tape the batteries ie strap tape them in, or to purchase a 6 cell battery brace for the fk05 Which would you rather ? If you have no concerns about buying a brace or the tweak issue, then i might encourage that option. |

The new car has slots to allow the use of tape which is preferred by many with this type of layout to prevent tweaks. These slots meant that the holes for the optional battery brace had to be put further apart than with the old brace. Moreover the new brace is wider to ensure the battery won't slip out under big crashes. So if you want to run a battery brace I recommend using the optional FK05 brace. Having said that I did indeed mount the old brace (there weren't enough proto's of the new one) by making a countersunk indentation in the middle of the rear slot for the tape. In addition I had to make the screwhole on the old brace about 0.5mm longer to make sure I could use it tweak free. I don't recommend this though... |
