Speaking to a team driver yesterday where we were both racing 13.5 blinky, he often prefers the old shocks as he said he can 'lean' on the car a bit more in some corners with it being better over the bumps.
I also tried the '17 and '18 shocks back to back yesterday at the same meeting.
I preferred the '18 shocks as it seemed to make the car flatter during cornering, it felt as though the '17 shocks were smoother but some some reason I found it harder to drive.
I was faster with the '18 shocks. I don't think he went back to the '18 shocks again as he changed them after practice and kept with the '17's.
It might be one of those changes which varies from driver to driver.
(The '18 shocks were worse outside with a slightly bumpy track.)
