hey guys i have decided to run stock and modified at ETS what do you change between set ups between the 2 cars ?? I also see then the set up one of my fellow friends uses and he uses the lower roll centre adjusters (arm mounts) on the lower setting , what is the advantage/disadvantage of this and is it to use with the H roll centres upper and the 2mm / 5mm outer spacers on the C hub/rear uprights ?? the track is a fairly high grip asphart track that is wide and flowing and ling any advice would be great ![]() ![]() |

Stock versus modified racing. The biggest difference is that you need more entry steering (off power into corner) since the car will carry more speed into corner. Modified normally requires a more aggressive set-up with more turn-in. My suggestion for stock would probably be to use less difference between front and rear downstop, a slightly heavier front shock oil, or a stiffer front anti-roll bar. A stiff anti-roll bar up front tend to work very well in stock. If you use the arm suspension holders all in the low position the car will have more roll and traction than with a higher position. It will have more low speed steering and less cornerspeed in sweepers. The car will feel more reactive but may actually have less steering overall. |

Please post your set-up sheet for stock so I can review and consider any changes for modified. |

I had a look at your second set-up. To have a smoother and faster car for modified I would probably change the following: Front anti-roll bar 1.4mm for more reaction Front shock spring 2.8mm for less entry steering and more mid corner steering Less difference between the front and rear downstop. Try 5.8 front and 4.8 rear for less weight transfer to the front wheels under braking or when entering the corner. Ackerman position 5 instead of 3 for better entry steering and less out, usually easier to drive as well Rear roll center mountings "L" instead of "H" and with 4mm on top of the rear hub. Use "H" front with 1.5mm on the c-hub Take out your front bumpsteer shim or at least make it 1mm less for a smoother feeling |
