Post subject:  Set up sheet q's

Hi,

Can someone just explain some parts of the set up sheet I'm not sure about please.

Wheelbase where it says 0 1 1 then 2 1 0. I presume this is where you add or remove washers to lengthen and shorten the wheelbase ? so where the numbers below the boxes mean washer size or no washer ? and how do I know if the washer goes at the front or rear of the arm ?

Shim under shock, do you add shim to the bottom as well ?

Thanks.

It means mm and in front of arms. For instance if you use 2 x 1 in front of arm, you can not have any shims behind the arm. Same goes for the rear. You can have 3mm in total in front of arm. If you don't mark any of the boxes, one must presume that all shims are behind the arm.

At the front, most people use a 1.5mm shim at the top mounting for the shock to have it in a more vertical angle.

Thanks Alex.

I'm still a bit confused on the wheelbase  In the Xray manual you it shows building the front arms with 1mm each side of the arm and the rears with 2mm at the front and 1mm at the rear. Looking at the 'Basic Set-UpFor Rubber Tires' it show the front with only the middle box with a cross (1) and the rear with just the 2 box marked :?: then I was looking at another set up sheet and they have the front 0 & 1 boxes marked and the rear they have 2 & 0 marked ?

Understand it now, I was confused as I've seen some sheets that have had X in the 0 box and the other boxes as well.
