Post subject:  Help on LTCR bodyshell

"Mazda 6 is for carpet because of good stability and traction and LTCR for asphalt because it gives more steering"

Hi on Martin's advice :D I have just bought and painted an LTCR (being a Mazda speed 6 driver).

I could do with some advice on trimming the shell.

1. Should you trim onthe lower or higher line?
2. On the rear the number plate posts extend below the trim line. Do you trim on the trim line up to the posts and then leave the posts hanging below the trim line?

TIA
Pete

1. I use the upper line (cut out more material). But I am not sure if the bottom line is not due to UK rules. Check this out, but for EFRA and IFMAR races, you can use upper line

2. I am not sure if I understand your question correctly, but I cut it in one line

Thanks Martin, good point about the BRCA rules!!

Front bumper is lower line and rear valance has a specific maximum height from the ground. Sides can be the upper line but I will cut on lower line first then see what if looks like when finished.

There's a link to the lower line embossed with BRCA letters on the LTC-R on the left side.
