First of all, sorry for my english :D

Hi. I bought a T3R some weeks ago. I begun to run on a track some month ago and I'm studying the new model and trying to understand how to modify the T3 to adapt it to my driving style. At the moment I'm waiting the front (and rear) sway bar set from england becouse here in Italy it's difficult to find it.

At the moment I replaced the original rear ball differential with the T3 2011 one (for some reasons like quick setup), but I continue to ear about the Spec-R differential. I read a lot of discussions about the use of this differential with low oil gradiation (max 1.000), but always on carpet.

I run on an asphalt (or tarmac?) track with not so much grip, with a lot of curves. Now I'm trying the "new" (T3 2011) sphere rear, but on this kind of trak the Spec-R could help to improve the traction and helping me in curves? Or in this case usually (but not for everybody) a sphere is the better choiche?

Thanks
Cava

I use a Spec-R with 1000cst oil on tarmac and like it a lot.

It is less forgiving than a ball diff but has a lot of traction out of corners.

It can make the car a bit nervous

Benefits of gear differential: more on-power steering, more forward traction.

If you use anything ligher than 1,000 CST you will probably not feel a difference anyway after a couple of runs since it will leak out the oil quite quickly since being so thin. 1,000 is the best compromise between forward traction and sidebite. 2,000 or 3,000 will have more forward traction but the car will lack side bite and be more difficult to drive.
