This is a 48dp gearchart I made up. The yellow boxes are gear ratio's I have actually tried. Any combination that has a blank box cannot be achieved |

Nice one! Which kind of spur gears do you use? I mean not all of them are available at Xray. I hear other spur gears will work only with modification. |

I use RW spur gears as they do some specifically for Xray. Almost every modelshop in the UK does them. This link has their international distributors, I believe Germany's in Graupner; |

Sorry to drag an old thread up but I need a bit of help. I've dusted off my old T3 2011 and fitted a 17.5t Tekin motor and esc (gen 1)blinky mode. . I've used a RW 48dp 78t spur and 34t pinion and one of Alex's old carpet set ups and it's working really well. I want to do a local race series and need a bit of gearing advice. According to Skiddins gear chart I should be able to fit a 37t pinion but I can not seen to be able to get one to fit, the 34t is a struggle I could possibly fit a 35t but there's not enough adjustment on the motor mount. Also I have to remove the top deck and fiddle with the pinion getting it through the drive belt (is this normal?) I'm going to buy some more RW spur gears so just want to know which ones to get to cover various fdr's at different size tracks. My home track is approx 11m x 25m and at my current fdr of 4.36 the motor comes off at 60 degrees C after 5 mins. What fdrs will I need to achieve running blinky on larger tracks? |

run a smaller spur,66/69 for medium sized tracks such as aldershot and west london fdr for amcc is 3.2 and wlrc 3.3,it also depends on the motor your using, the blinky motor of choice is the team wave eclipse |

Thanks for that Greyhead, will a T3 2011 take a 66 spur ok? I ask as it's not on that chart. |

I'm just starting to run 17.5 blinky and still learning but think I need fdr's between 3.2 and 4.8 depending on track. I'm currently stuck at 4.3 but have ordered a new 72 rw spur. |
