i race on indoor carpet using 64dp spur size 108 pinion 38 fdr of 5.40 but the car was slow to accelarate so dropped down to 36 pinion (5.70 fdr) and went up 1 setting on the turbo of my speedpassion pro 2 speedo the car was slighly better on acceration but was quite a bit down on top speed 2 laps slower than when using 38 pinion should i go up 1 more on turbo on speedo using 36 pinion or drop 1 less on turbo and go back to 38 pinion ? motor is always around 60 c or any other suggestions would be gratefully received

I think you have something wrong with battery or speedo

Hi.

I would try 108 and 27 (I have 48dp so it's 84 and 21 for me). Basically I'm running the same turns, +2A every 4ms for the turbo and just the very softest timing but with a fdr of 7.5 to 7.6 on small indoor tracks. Going down from a 24 to a 21 pinion gear brought me much better acceleration and so a gain in top speed from 49 to 53kph. What are the other guys at your track running as fdr? But the curious thing is that your top speed went down when your acceleration got better. This then means that you're not geared too long. But before trying all different things the fastest thing to try is a reset on the speedo (maybe something wrong with the shut down voltage) and then - in case the reset shouldn't help - I would try a much smaller pinion for the start of trouble shooting.
