Post subject:  Who's cut their servo lug off ?

Hi,

As per the title, who's done it to get their electrics mounted ? I'm using the KO 409 rx and the small GM75 speedo but it still won't fit unless I cut the servo lug which I don't want to do or mount the rx on the servo which I also don't want to do  will the servo hold ok with one lug mounted and some carpet tape ?

Thanks.

Yes cutting the lug off and using double sided tape will work just fine. If your worried about using your servo again you can pick up another servo case for fairly cheap. Most are around 6 to 10 US dollars.

I've the T3 11, with a Tekin RS Pro, and a savox low pro servo and a standard Spektrum Rx.

Everything bar the Rx, fits on the bottom deck fully. I've got the Rx mounted across the chassie on its thinnest edge, and it only hangs off of the deck by around 6-8mm. It's hardly a concern in my eyes?

I cut both sides off mine and attached it with shoe goo. This let me move it a little further forward and get the position of the horn perfect. Now I have tonnes of room :)

I use the standard Savox servo and a tekin speedo with the spectrum micro reciver and it just fits with the lugs still on. Yeah it tight but not like I needed the space for anything else.

If running a T3'10 or T3R with a Savöx or Vortex (Orion) servo you can use the 3mm shims to mount the servo and use the servoarm of the 808. Reduce the thickness of the arm on top to the half and mount the steering rod "over" the servo (servo side). If you want you can screw in a small setscrew into the bore of the arm and drill one a little lower. That works really great and you can use the antenna bore in this way.

I've tried before to cut the lugs off and mount it with tape, it works fine as long as you use good and strong tape.
