We don't use progressive springs in TC at all. Although I believe HPI did some some years back. I think your confusing the feeling of progressiveness with the difference in their ratings, which do vary slightly with each manufacturer. HPI Silver - 16.2lbs HPI Pink - 16.8lbs HPI Gold - 17.5lbs Xray 2.6 - 14.8 Xray 2.8 - 16.0 Xray 3.0 - 17.1 |

I've started running Associated 40wt shock oil with HPI Pinks and Silvers, and i prefer how the car handles now. |

no current TC springs are progressive, for a spring to be progressive either the coils have varied spacing so that they will bind or the wire is tapered or coil radius is varied. In my testing you can be most confident that with Xray the number stamped on the spring is very close to the actual rate. |

Xray springs have the most traction and low speed steering. HPI has a more free feeling and the car is more reactive but more difficult to drive. Tamiya springs have more sidebite and drive better over dots but just don't have a good feeling for our car. |
