i havnt had the problem yet (touch wood) but i have three friends with x rays who have all had the same problem |

hi, yes i to have had a layshaft bearing seize on my t1r.it happened after only 3 race meets.one thing that was noticed is that there is no rear bulkhead brace on the t1r.this is a factor allowing the bulkheads to flex and load the bearings. i to replaced the bearings and the cases they go in but i have deshielded the rubber seal and lubricate on a regular basis with royal oil.hope this helps ianp |

hi all, yes sorry the bearing itself fails, mine was the one furthest from the spur gear. |

I have seen this happening in one of my customer T1R, the problems was because of the 540 motor, as in certain gearing the motor is force mounted, and it must have tweaked the rear bulk head. Once the propoer mounting was use, the problem is solve. regards |

hi, any reason why the bulkhead brace is not standard on the raycer when it is needed to keep the layshaft running true.ianp |
