Post subject: | Pinion gear vs. motor vs. top speed |
Hello, just in case that any more are interestet in which component(s) to pick for a designated top speed, I would like to post a simplified formula below. pinion gear = spur gear * internal ratio * 5050 * designated top speed / motor rpm / 60 - 5050 is specific for 63mm tyres - Top speed is needed in km/h Please don't forget to check the 'fastest' allowed gear ratio for the used motor. Just ask if you want to have the detailed formula or a formula for mph and/or other tyre diameters. |
