Post subject:  T3 011 Servo Saver

I believe the servo saver on my T3 might be a little weak? even with all 3 metal rings inside, I can still turn the wheels with a medium amount of force. I struggled with the car today indoor on carpet, with the rear snapping round mid corner coming off power. Now I was running a kit carpet setup and some laps it would feel really good, but i wasnt able to follow cars into the sweeping corners as fast without it snapping round and at the end of the straight the car would understeer before it slowed and then snap round - this behaviour also wasnt consistent...

another racer suggested servo saver issue. So i checked it and I could turn the steering with the car turned on? and that was without an extreme amount of force.

any tips?

I might just glue the case shut - i dont tend to hit much and have run a direct horn without a saver for the last 15 months without a single servo gear stripped or broken hub.

Rouben,

Please note that our servo saver has same or even harder springs than any other servo saver in the market. We spend a lot of time with testing springs in the servo saver. Dual steering is different than single steering and therefore spring in this servo saver is softer than it was on T3.

However, if you wish you can glue the servo saver. Some drivers from competition are doing it. But note that there is a chance of servo breaking when you crash in full steer. Our team as well as me are using standard servo saver and we had no problem even on super high traction track as was ETS.

Found my issue

I didn't have a 1mm shim between the ball stud and servo saver, so moving from left to right the steering link would bind up against the servo saver and cause it to flex against the spring and then when the spring pressure became to much, the saver would snap back to its normal position.

Anyway added that 1mm shim, now the steering is Silky smooth.

Rouben,

I checked in the last few races, some drivers` cars and found that more than 10 people had same problem. They came to me that their car is not going straight and always found same problem. But, I made special note with the picture in the manual about this !!! :o

Plus make sure that composite dual servo saver arm does not touch servo screw. I saw that some drivers had this problem as well.

I put the servo-saving perfectly vertical.
