hello, I´m fighting with my loosen steering block (302252), while the 14mm srew (902314) is loosen after every akku pack. I gess the plastic of the upright is too hard so the metric screw is not able the fix it after 8 minutes of run. is there any suggestion from someone thanks in advance Harald |

I think perhaps you are tightening the screw too much and stripping the thread. Hold the driver loosely between your fingers and turn. When you hit some pressure the driver will slip in your fingers. Stop |

thank you for you hints, but I do use a loctite 231 and srew it with only 2 fingers. If the srew it loosen a half turn it is not able to fix it strong again. I dont want to use alwas a new steering block. our high speed track do a lot of pressure after the straight on the steering suspension, so I think a have a lot of exercise to do in this matter. regards and SERVUS from VIENNA Harald |

Try the extra hard foam spec steering knuckles. they hold the thread a bit stronger if you have a lot of vibration. I will get around 6 race meets on a set of knuckles before they get a bit loose and i chuck them. |

I don't know what that mentioned Loctite exactly is but I hope it isn't a threadlock?! Because you CAN NOT use threadlock with plastic. It melts the plastic. This might be why you are having the problem. Use threadlock only with metal-to-metal surfaces and never let it touch any plastic! |

Hmn Harald, strange, we have raced XRAYs for 4 years (* 2 cars) and never had a steering block/steering link screw go. A few camber link screws yes but only a few. I wonder, do you use the the forward hole or the rearward hole on the steering block? I ask because we have only used the rearward hole. |

Hello yellowshark, after a long delay I found time to run the T3 again. btw. I use the rearward hole, but at now I mount the "v2"version of steering block´s and the 14mm screws are still hold inside. so as in the past (I run XRAY products since 2001 - I only buy XRAY cars) - XRAY is alway improving their product - and is searching always the best solution- so WE CAN STILL TRUST in their improvments !!! thank you Team XRAY you are on the way best regards Harald |
