Post subject: | Help with carpet setup |
I have been using this setup for a while now xform/index.php?act=view&ID=2133&setup=t2_008 I wondered has anybody got any advice on how to make the car rotate more off power. I seem to get quite a lot of under steer when initially turning into the corner. Thanks |

hi, My setup is on here, xform/index.php?act=view&ID=1712&setup=t3 but its for the t3. There is however a few things you could try/change. Definately try a softer front spring. 3.2 is very hard! Try 2.8 front 2.6 rear, i run hpi springs (silver/silver or pink/silver) Also you could try running a bit less rebound. You could try running the 0.0 front arm holders. Thicker oil 450 or 500 is good at ardent. You could also try laying the rear shock down 1 hole to give you more rotation especially coming out of corners. try some of the changes, gradually, not all at once! The first thing i'd do would to run 2.8 front spring and change ur front arm holders back to 0.0 Please us guys at the track, we there to help people! Jonny Robinson-Xray |

Hi there....!!! we used to run 008 and found a good carpet set- up which is very similar to elliot harper's 2007 don valley set up. i had posted the set up to alex hagberg and he sugested a few tweeks which has been added to this set up. This worked well on the primafelt carpet we run at worcester (lots of side bite) and also went well at Ardent Raceway too. this set up also worked regardless of tyre choice which swapped between sorex 28 jb's, LRP CPX's and RP30's (obviusly ride heights had to be adjusted between tyres swaps) see what you think...! Happy racing xform/index.php?act=view&ID=2042&setup=t2_008 |
