Post subject: | droop adjustment |
I know this has been a much talked about subject. There is one thing i cannot find anywhere in the forum. I am using a ride height gauge to set my droop. I have my ride height set at 5mm at all four corners. I take my ride height gauge and set the chassis on the 6mm step. I screw my downstops until i can pull a piece of paper from under my tire with no resistance. Now I have 1mm droop, I think. I am only doing it this way because i don't have a droop gauge. Can i do it this way or do i need to get a droop gauge. Also i need to know if my ride height is 5mm, what is a good recommended droop amount to start at? Any help is greatly appreciated. |

I would suggest to get settings accurate that you get a droop gauge and a set of 10 mil blocks as droop gauges are intended to be used in conjunction with car set on ten mil blocks. With reguards droop settings have a look in the set-up sheet section where you may find the track that you race at. |

I don't race at any track. My friends and I race in a big parking lot at the local shopping center which is fresh laid black asphalt. But on that note, I still want my car to perform as best as possible. Thanks for your input. Does anyone else have any suggestions. |
