A couple of years ago I had a conversation with an RC racer who worked for Dunlop. He was adamant that racers over-warm their tyres and that 45 was optimum - works for me. About 10 mins - although I normally bake on the additive first, 25-30 mins at 55. There was not any inference that different tyres needed different temperatures. In the winter I sometimes use 50 depending on time between the warmers coming off and the race starting |

Hi, we (team) always warm tires on 60°. I would say that 20 minutes is the best time. if the track is super hot and tires can overheat, take the warmers out 10 minutes before the run. Although tires would feel cold, you will have good traction right away and no overheat problem. If the track is cold, take the warmers down just before you go driving. |

Thank you for your answer. When the track is hot, I have put the warmer 10 minutes before racing. OK ! But, when the track is cold,I have put the warmer 2 or 1 minutes before racing?? |
