Post subject: | How do I get more grip ? |
Hi, I'm running a T3 standard kit spec apart from I've change the shock oil to 500cst (think that's about 40w ?) being new to this I'm not sure what to adjust first. It feels like my car needs more grip front and back but probably more so on the back, into the corners the back seems to just loose it and also does it sometimes when I put on the power out of the corner. So what should I try first ![]() Thanks. |

You need to tell us what class you run and what sort of track surface and tyres etc. First of all, why the change in the oil? |

Hi, Aldershot, Sorex 32's and 17.5t. The grip does pick up after a few cars have run but I still think mine's lacking grip. I changed the oil as speaking to others said the kit oil was a bit thin for there ![]() Thanks. |

Hi, I was setting my car nearly as per one of your set up sheets ![]() Nosram additive, tried 60deg then down to 45deg, springs 3.0 front and 2.6 back, camber 2deg front and back and rebound hmmm don't really have much luck when trying to set the rebound but I do get them to all match as close as possible. |

Hi, if the traction is not very high try to use no additive, only warm the tires on 60 deg. Regarding to higher traction, please check set up book, there is explained all in details But quick help: 3.5 toe in in the rear more up rear shock on the shock tower 350 shock oil in all shocks inside roll bar position on the rear arm low roll center position on both front and rear arms |

Thanks Glen. We also run a shorter wheelbase at Bashley but I am setting it back to your setting for Aldershot and swapping the Speed 6 for the Alfa (yeah I know you like the Speed 6 there ![]() |
