Recently I purcharsed a new T3 and I have this brushless combo:


I want to know if somebody can tell me a pinion to start with.
I´m new in electric cars, I came form nitros.

I will use 7.4v lipos and the straight of my track is about 40m.

I just want to know a pinon to begin testing.

You can start with 23-30 if you use 48db, depending on your track.

I have the same car with 5 turn LRP, same battery etc. the 23 T pinion is good but I am advised that it is a little big and I need to go smaller. Even tho I am happy with the 23 T I have tried a 29T which causes the motor to over rev and thus drain the battery way to quick!!!
My advice is try the 23T and then buy a few lower like 16-20 and have a try with them. I have just put in a 19 T. If you want rollout charts from different pinions there is a chart that came with yr T3 or go to gearchart.com, im sure that will help ya.

I have been using 19 to 24 with 6.5 turn motor.
Usually I use 20-22 mm but as always it depends on the track

Then I will buy a smaller or a bigger pinion, to continue testing.
