Post subject: | T3 setup help |
hey guys im new to xray and this is my first post. I posted this on rctech but they all suggested i post it on here ![]() so I ran my T3 for the second time today and was having a comfusing issue for me. car started out with a really bad push at corner entry to early mid corner.. so as i slowed it would push push push then the front would grab and the rear would break loose. I pust 6* caster up front and the car handled much better but pretty much only when I drove it very aggressive. It still had a slight push but if I drove it super aggressive was drivable. However if I slowed up to much or two fast then the rear would break loose mid to late corner. this would happen on the sweeper and in the infield. running pretty much the stock setup with the 6* casters in 17.5 on carpet ride ht 5.5 mm droop 2.5 mm over in the front 2mm over in the rear caster 6* toe in front 0 rear 3* saucing front half and full rears 3.0 springs up front with the 2.6 in the rear with 350 oil all around #3 piston -1 camber front -2 camber in the rear running sweep 28s there brand new so should be good to go took the sway bar off the rear as well checked for tweek and all other settings were good. so what can i do to keep the rear from kicking out if i get off the throttle to fast. in my past exp (my tc5) when the car was both pushing and loose the chassis was tweeked. so I checked that and not the problem thanks for any advice Dan |

Hi Dan. If you are running on ashfelt I would; FRONT 5mm ride height shocks 2nd hole from bottom on tower 4 caster 1 deg toe out 2.6 springs 350 weight #3 piston 1.4 bar 6.5 droop -2 camber akermann post all the way in on 1st notch everything else kit. REAR 5.3 ride height 350 weight #3 piston 5 droop 2.4 springs shocks layed in lowest hole on tower -3 toe -2 camber 1.2 bar everything else kit. leave all stiffeners in. Set steering end point to touch c hubs then back off 10%. Once on the track play with ackermann one notch at a time. And you may need to reduce steering as you go to get the right balance. If its high bite, go back to 3.0/2.6 springs. Hav fun |
