I think a bit of patience when building your shocks goes a long way to keeping air out of them. When open and full of new oil let them sit for a while so the air bubbles work their way to the top. I will soak the orings first then use the associated green shock slime on the orings when building them for the first time. I usually replace the shock seals before a big meet or every 6 to 8 club meets. I will check my shocks before every meet and its only when i have a big crash that the shocks seem to collect air. And even then its only 1 out of the 4 that may need a top up and rebleed. |
