For the speedo motor combo i would go for the EZrun sets about 9.5 motor and the 60A speedo , this will give you good speed for the money batterys ,lipo these can be bought from hong kong for next to notging now BUT you will need a special charger for them 1st i would visit a local hobby shop and talk with the guys in there , read on here and RCtech is a good place for info , then go on ebay and see what you can get for your budget . |

Don't think the brand is important for what you need, any brushless motor will be fine. Did you go to a local shop to see what they have? |

Yeah, mainly Novak and mamba... thats pretty much it for motor and ESC. Also, I agree with you in regards to driving indoors, I should also probably ask my LHS to see where they drive. I only thought driving on asphalt would be better, since there's a huge parking lot not to far from where I live. |

OK so I plan on getting the Tekin RS ESC with the motor combo.. now here's my questions...should I get the 17.5T or 13.5T? any difference in the two,,,and what are their run times for say a 5000mah lipo battery? Also, in regards to Lipo batteries, what does it mean when they say "35C" or "30C" ?? Thanks again everyone!!!! |

17.5 will have faster rpm but less tork than 13.5T, for you I would say the chiper the better. The "C" is the maximum current the battery can deliver during discharge, e.g. a battery with capacity 5000mAh and 30C is able to deliver 150A maximum, and probably during a short amount of time. Please correct me if I'm wrong. |

Mamac, i thought 17.5T would have more torque than the 13.5T, and lower the T- value, the higher the RPM...??? |
