Try the EU carpet rubber setup as a starting point. Put your chassis to maximum flex.

I run this setup on my EU car and it's a nice starting point. I've found the solid axle up front to be the way to go for rubber tire. If you still need smoother steering after this try changing your ackermann setting. The more perpendicular to the chassis centre line the toe links are the smoother your steering will be. Oh, also I run the springs from the T2'009 on my car, which are the 2.8s in the front and the 2.6s in the rear.
