Post subject: | Help with T3 plastic shock rebound |
Hello everyone, I know this seems to be an endless topic - at least if I look at the number of posts for this topic. To make it short - I have trouble to adjust the rebound rate without drawing air into the shocls. I always end up with the desired rebound but the shocks are squishy. Here is how I do it: * Fill shocks with oil and wait for bubbles to get out. * Fully extend the piston rod and mount the shock cap. * This will give me shocks with 100% rebound and no air/squishy. That's ok so far. * Then - with the piston rod still fully extended - I put the shocks upside down and open the lower plastik cup. * I push back the rod fully into the body, extremly slowly. This will result in lots of oil bleeding. * Then things go wrong: When I try to fully pull out the pistion rod again, also extremly slowly, I always get a "blob" and some air gets into the body. This happens when the rod is almost fully extended. If I don't fully extend it and close the cap I will end with negative rebound. How can I avoid this? Maybe someone can provide a step by step guide? BR, MrBiggles |

I have the same problem. A video like RedRC did with Tamiya shocks would be nice! |

you do not have to pull the shock shaft fully, it is enough to pull it on 75%. This repeat until you get approx. 25% rebound. That is enough, I use also 25% rebound becuase you can adjust this rebound quicker and I do not feel any difference in car handling between 25 a 0 rebound. |
