Hi Paul, I just bought and commission a Xray T3. The car is superb. I would like to find out whether you have try any gear diff and how does this compare to ball diff. I am still new in this hobby and would like to get an idea whether to invest on a gear diff or not since maintenance is low compare to ball diff. Rgds Simon ![]() |

Hi PAul I have a 008, which I really like. I am currently using gold front and silver rear springs. All other settings are as per kit - for reasons unrelated to this post, I have 'lost' the original kit springs. whilst driving indoors on carpet the car seems to push as I want to turn into corners, and generally continues with the understeer through sweepers. I wanted to know how to cure this and the effect: 1. stiffen the rear springs? 2. put heavier shock oil - moving from 35 wo 40 wt oil? 3. raising the rear suspension arms ot +.75 4. lowering the front suspension arms to 0.0 help me lohan |

Softer front roll bars or stiffer rears. If your back is planted I would also try the 0.00 front roll centre blocks. Skiddins |

Hi Paul, Here is my current setup: xform/index.php?act=view&ID=1823&setup=t3. Would appreciate if you can give me some advise as my car tend to understeer during mid to corner exit on tight chicane. I would like to try a few changes but not sure it will work or not. 1. to lower the roll center for the front or rear to give more on power grip. 2. Move the ball diff to upper position. 3. Some suggestion from you I am also using gear diff at rear with 1000cst oil. Thx Simon Yew[/quote] Hi Simon, normally when i raise the diff in the front or rear i get more traction in that end and the car rolls a little easier in that end also. For mid corner steering i would try less shimming on your rear uprights (rear camber links), this should give more mid corner steering and give more forward traction and stability. you can also simply try more front camber (up to 3deg) and less rear camber (down to 1 deg), that alone can make the car go from pushing to spinning out. for asphalt i like 500 to 1000 cst in my diff and for carpet i like 1000 to 2000 cst oil. a little thicker on carpet makes the car easier to drive and helps it moove forward during all the tire spin that carpet normally has. |

Hi Paul I'm new here Do you have already tested the new 2011 car on carpet? I have a indoor carpert track here and I found that it has more steering than 2010 t3 I think that it has a little too much steering for me Have you found the same difference from t3 2010? Fabrizio |
