John, thanks for the update. Haven't had a chance to run on asphalt myself yet (rain :cry: ) so I hope you will bear with me for another week. I would like to get some laps under my belt first before I start giving setup advice for asphalt racing. Don't want to give you the wrong advice here :wink:

I ran mine for the first time last Friday. My local track is a tight asphalt track so I built the car with the spool and used the base rubber tire setup. At first the car had a pushed, same as John noticed, so I changed the rear springs to from yellow to white and that cured the push. I am going to add sway bars and go from 3 holes to 4 holes open on the pistons to get the car to react quicker for this weeks race. In the race I set the fastest laps of anyone in stock and would have easily TQ’ed had I not clipped a dot and cut the tape holding battery in (note to self: sand edges of battery tape slots better). All in all I am quite pleased with car. I felt it was very stable and predictable.

Hi Egon,

My downstop at front suspension is 0mm, but all other things are standart (like the manual says). My camber is 0.5 deg at front and 1 deg at rear and my tires are CS-27 with JB 19 inserts.

Regards Gemi

Col, compared to the basic rubber tyre setup as posted on the website and included in the kit you can try the following changes if you want a more aggressive car:

- Reduce rear toe-in (2mm spacers instead of 3mm)
- Put rear diff in middle or upper position
- Run more front toe-out (1 degree instead of 0.5)
- Put front shocks in outer hole (more steering in tight low speed corners)
- Increase rear ride height (5mm -> 5.5mm or even 6mm)
- Increase rear roll center to upper position

Obviously there are more options, but this should help you get to an aggressive base setup to start with fairly quickly. Then work on optimizing as usual.

I tend not to take my setup kit with me, so was going to try removing the spacers from the front and changing the rear spring to blue-green.

Seems you opted diferently. What gives the most extreme difference ? I am presuming front roll center, I like the change the rear roll center at rear inner loc being higher and that was a definate early change anyway. Spacers change less camber hence i would rather remove 1mm spacer of each ...

Got to try first haven't even run the car yet. First time tonight !
