Hello everybody,

yesterday I was driving with a budy of mine on a small and tight carpet track with traction medium to low.

He was running the basic setup for the T3'011 and I was running at the end this setup: xform/index.php?act=view&ID=2238&setup=t2_008

In general we found that the T3 had much more steering than the T2. The only significant difference I see are the Quick Roll-Center Holder which are L1+L2 on the T3.
They have about the same height but are more to the middle of the car. Does this makes such a difference?

At the end I change the roll-center on my T2 from 3 to 2. This gave me a lot more steering but the tires started to squeak in the corners. Also the car was stopping much more.
The T3 has still more steering and no squeaking at all. We both used the same Sorex 28 tires and additive.

Maybe somebody can explain this to me and help getting my T2 better running through the corners.

T3 or T3'11?

features of T3 that give more steering:
- higher rear position on the Shocktower for quick rollcenters
- higher steering angle
- more backwards position of quick ackermann servo saver
- different flex characteristics

T3'11 additional:
- Steering
- Lipo Chasssis

He has a T3'11.
What do you mean with "higher steering angle"?
So I won't get as much steering with my T2?

Am I right that it is not good when the tires are squeaking?

I think by steering angle he is reffering to the angle of the steering links from the post in the middle to the front hub knuckles.

The inner ball joints are closer to the top deck on the 009 and even T3, where on the T3'11 with the dual posts the ball joints are much closer to the chassis.

Try to find a side view of the steering components and you'll see what I mean;

compare the steering blocks... they are different. I was talking about the maximum angle which the inner wheel can steer.

Ackermann and bumpsteer characteristics are also different for T3'11
