XRAY - Model racing cars

Hey guys, im seriously tearing my hair out setting the rebound on these shocks.

Im trying to set the 25% rebound as specified in the booklet, but without the foam inserts.
Everytime i set the rebound im getting air into the shock, and cant get the desired rebound im after.
Has anyone any build tips without drilling holes, i've tried some other methods from this forum.

But im still struggling.

have a look at this vid - works great:



Vid shows Tamiya, but also works with xray dampers - i had the same problem until i tried this way of filling the damper.
