XRAY - Model racing cars

Hi all.

I've been racing for some time now and i'm looking at upgrading to a more advanced r/c car. I was looking at the T1R to begin with as this lookes like the best 1/10th aropund for my price range. (Not really ready for the EVO2, i'll try to keep pestering the g/f though).

The problem is that i race indoor as well as out. I was wondering if there was any one who might have ideas on building a gearing guard for the front and rear diffs etc.

I've got an older car at the moment and have had problems in the past with it picking up things and chucking them into the gearing/diffs/belts etc!

I've sent an E-mail to Xray but they have no gear cover ready made for either the T1R/T1fk,05 or Evo2.

Any ideas on a dirt/dust cover would be much appreciated.

(Edited here - please keep the ideas simple if any, read some of the other posts on here and christ did i get lost, lol)

Also what are the rough pros and cons for both the 05 and 2. Just incase i can twist my missus round to getting one for my b/day!!

I have raced both indoors and out and have had no need for such a guard... I'm a bit confused why you would need such a thing.. If the out door track is that filled with debris then clean it. As for carpet there's nothing you can do with the fibers from the rug. They get into almost everything. Other then clean ya car on a regular basis, there no other way... I think???
