I changed the balls in my diff to 2.4mm ceramic. Since I did this.. when holding the spur, one wheel, and then turning the other wheel, the diff is sticky. Sometimes you can feel the diff rings slipping...

I have tried diff loose, diff tight and every where in between, and the feeling is the same (cept for amount of pressure required of course)

Anyone have any suggestions?

It was suggested I glue the rings to the diff halves but I don't wish to do that...

Are the diffs slipping on the track? If not, don't worry about it. I think Juraj designed the diff so that under normal circumstances the diff rings will skip just before the balls do. Since if the latter skip the balls get flat-spotted and the diff is immediately ruined. The way it works now the diff continues to work without undue wear where you don't want it.

I heard that using 10 ceramics and 2 steel as this cleaned the track and lengthened the life of all parts???

Not tried myself yet. But this was from a top serpent driver so hopefully he knew something
