Hi,
to get the front of the car into the corner better you can also try leaning your front shocks in one hole on the shock tower i agre that putting harder springs on the rear does help get the car into the corner but also the rear end can some times step out as you said but if this works at your particular track then go for it as i have done this in the past at some of the tracks i have raced at, if i was racing on a high traction track i would opt to go for the hardest spring i could get away with running as then the chassis is more responsive but the track will play a big part in this wether it is fast or flowing or tight twisty and technical

Hi,
what i would do is try running the same rate of springs front and rear you say that at the second race meeting that the raer end just kept stepping out if this was the case the first thing i would try is to loosen my rear diff as on high traction tracks if the rear diff is to tight then the back end will have no grip and just spin out i would also try softer springs on the rear if you still have no rear end grip i would also open more holes in the piston at the rear (providing you are running the adjustable pistons) this is what i surgest you try before changing back to the original starting setup

I have found that the 05 at my track likes the softest setup. Smooth asphalt I have been running the springs that come with the kit. As it was said before... if you need more steering lay the front shocks in one more hole or open one more hole in the piston. I do not like running too much bias front to rear so if it was me I would try those things first and if that still didn't work I would do

1) Stand the rear shock up 1 hole
2) Rear sway bar
3) Bring caster down one notch... for example instead of 3 degrees try 1.5
4) And last but not least if you are running a front sway bar take it off or decrease.

P.S. I just thought of something, all of this info is in the hudy set up guide that comes with the xray. One tip that isn't in there can be found in the XRAY tips and tricks section. It tells you about taking the stand off's off. And removing some screws from the top deck and bulkheads. Just my 2 cents but I hope it helps. Oh I have ran a stffer spring in the rear before but it never felt predictable to me.
