XRAY - Model racing cars

Tried using softer springs at the weekend, went down from 3.0-2.6 to 2.8-2.6. This did help reduce the traction roll, only had it a couple of times in the final.

I didn't want to drop the rear too much as I was loosing steering as it was.

I also tried Sorex 28's but found that although these made the car a bit safer, they were 0.5sec's slower per lap due to simplay having less grip.

What sort of things would you guys change to bring some steering back?

And these tires are supposed to have more grip than the sorex 28's? Do you think that is because of the larger sidewall?

And what is the difference between the 32c and the 32r? I cant seem to find the 32c here in the states. Thanks

The rubber is definitely the stickiest I have come across.
Clean them up after each run and they are still excellent, The wheels are slightly softer than usual so they never crack, the tyres last ages, the only problems have been the glueing, which is now better and the hex part of the wheel.
There were problems were the hex bit was rounding out, I think due to the softer wheen material, this has also been redesigned slightly.

I'm not sure if they are available in the US, these were designed for use in a specific race series here, and the changes have come from feedback from this series. As mentioned, the grip is almost too good.

Racing on Sunday I went to Sorex 28's after a few rounds, they were 0.5s slower.....I went back to the Sweep's

I have asked the organiser of the series about whether these are available elswhere and I'm waiting on his reply.

Here is a simple story of why im wondering. First off, im the RD at our carpet track here in Texas. Our issue is we have the lowest traction carpet around as we have an offroad track right next to the carpet... about 10 feet seperate the two. Right now we are running the sorex 28's as our spec tire but we are def on the lookout for something stickier with a long life, fast and inexpensive. Seems strange that the 32 compound of the sweep would be faster than the 28's of sorex.
