That is true to some extent, I am sure we have all made a change and experienced the opposite happening! And of course no change can really be taken in isolation, it is impacted by the rest of the setup.

But only to an extent, ultimately principles exist and it is these that we follow.

My two tomes are the XRAY book and XX Main and they both agree on the points I made above.

Of course some of the stuff goes against the real world, roll bars being a point in question. You do not get more grip by having lighter rolls bar. You get more grip by reducing roll; as the outside wheel loads up and gets more grip the inside wheel loses grip but the outside wheel can never fully gain the grip the inside wheel loses. This is a function of rubber and its construction (possibly at the molecular level but I do not remember) and the friction it generates in contact with a surface.

So the more you roll the more total grip you loose. That is incontravertible.

The one thing I do know is that if I were having problems with a loose rear end I would not be starting by stiffening the rear if it were anywhere near kit settings!

The OP.

Have you tried 450cst oil with the kit pistons?

Also, try the front holes in the steering knuckles (make sure you reduce your radio epa) to increase ackermann.

Both of these things help my car to become stable when exiting corners.

Hi.

Well I just got some new springs and antiroll bars that I am looking forward to check. Unfortunately I got some new tires as well so my readings won't be so accurate.

I used 500 and 400cst shock oil, which didn't seem to worked well for me. Low traction, lack of experience. Last week I tried 300cst shock oil and the car felt smoother.

Next I will be trying 2.8 front springs, as Alex suggested and then 1.4 and 1.3 antiroll bar at the rear as Beale said.

Definetely I will try your Ackermann settings and let you know. Thank you for your responce Dontfeelcold.

Greetings.

I finally used softer front springs (2.8) and the car was more stable, balanced and predictable, but that did not decreased my oversteering issue. Tried harder rear antiroll bar (1.4mm), as Beale proposed above, and yeap ... the problem dissapeared :D . Now I find that the car understeers a bit, but I feel comfortable about it. As long as hardening the rear geometry works, it works!

I think that because I have more weight in the rear, during steering the weight that is transferred pushes the rear a lot (inertia) producing the unwanted oversteering.

Dontfeelgood I haven't forgoten your suggestion. I will try it next time and let you know.
