Has anyone tried the gear diff then gone back to the ball diff?

I have to be honest and say that I tried a change back to the ball diff from the gear siff, and just found that the car was a lot more flowing and settled, and was a lot moref forgiving.

HAs anyone else experienced the same?

Maybe you are using too hard oil? I used on carpet 700 cst oil and I liked it in all traction conditions. When I tried the gear diff for the first time, I felt in love It has just more in corner steering, on power steering and handling is much better. However, it has slightly less traction, but I know some drivers use 500 cst oil for more traction so maybe you can try it.

thanks for the reply - one of the things I love about this forum is that the designers, and top team drivers all contribute

I was using it with 725 oil. I'll give it a try with 500wt oil.

What I was finding was that when the car went over tape it could be a bit naughty and really unsettle the car unlike the ball diff.
