G'day guys from Aus.
I'm a newbie to Xray and this forum so please take it easy on me guys and gals.
I've just opened my firs Xray RX8 kit and it appears that the "Foam Bumper" is not supplied?
I've searched the internet high and low for this necessary item and I just can't find one or any reference to it no part number nothing?

Does anyone here know where I can get one in Australia or anywhere else in the world would be fine?

I'm thinking that the RX8 uses the foam bumper from another model in the range?

Any clues or info on where to buy one would be appreciated?

Cheers :? :?

These 1/8 cars do not use foam bumpers.

Roelof thanks mate,
That would explain why I can't find a foam bumper.

I feel slightly embarrassed about asking this question now and the question really indicates just how green I am at onroad racing.

I've only been building and bashing around 1/8th buggies off and on for the last 20 years of so.

I was also under the impression that all onroad cars at race meetings required foam bumpers for safety reasons?

I,m certainly on a steep learning kerb but I'm really enjoying it and can't wait to start building my RX8, complete the build and get to the track to run the engine in and tune the chassis while I do a thousand or so laps to get race ready and used to driving on the tarmac.

Once again thanks for the answer and I'm sure that I'll be back here to get more advice and help.

Cheers

The used LeMans type bodies are very low at the front, they are directly on top of the bumper.

Some people try to shape some hard foam so it will support the body much better but it adds weight and more frustration during a race when its got damaged and pieces are toutching the wheels and steering mechanism.
