My 2013 RX8 had this problem but inside the box was a packet with two small pins, separate to everything else.

These were the correct pins for this, I assume they were added later by the dealer or Xray.

Bit of confusion I was just about to get the dremel out and start sanding the long ones down when I spotted them in the box.

Otherwise the kit was fantastic to build
