Post subject: | X10 on asphalt setup help |
Hello all - I recently bought a used X10 setup for WGT, local racing is on sealed asphalt. I'm surprised at the lack of setup sheets and I've read through the threads here on that story.. Anyway I was wondering if someone could provide me with a base setup to start from, it looks like the previous owner was either racing on a totally different surface or searching for a setup, because it's pretty jacked up. I realize without setup sheet blanks it's going to be hard but I appreciate anything that could be offered to me. Thanks! -Chris |

Chris, we are also trying to find a goos setup for asphalt.... I would say use the assembly manual and rebuild/reset it as per building instructions and go from there, we have found that it is not undrivable as per bulding instructions... setup sheets is non-existent... |

I'll see what I can do with the XII setup sheet. My car has been working very well on asphalt. I'm using 2 cell though. |

Thanks! I talked to a friend that used to do some WGT racing last night and he pointed out something that he thinks is a major issue. I'm using a single lipo behind the servo with the electronics rearward on each side of the plate. He thinks this car will never drive well like that and that I need to look at a single cell saddle pack (preferred) or put the lipo on one side and the electronics on the other and then balance that with weight. He said the car was never meant to be driven with the battery mounted there and is going to make it hard for me to get a good setup no matter what I try. Anyone else agree with that?> |
