Post subject: | X10 link Servo |
Hi I am having difficulties mounting a servo in nmy X10 link. I bought a Hyperion standard size servo and the steering arms are pointing forward in the car... Moved the steering balls on the servosaver to the back of it and now I need to shim the servo 5mm forward on the mountng posts to get the arms parallell with the front end brace.... Q? What servos are you guys using? Modifications needed to mount? What servo is beeing used in the photos on XRAY page? low profile of some sort? thanks! |

I am now mounting my servo a "Spektrum H5000" digital servo in the same size as a 1:12 steering servo. I have an issue with the servosaver NOT clearing the bottom chassie it touches the edge of the hole made for the servo saver in the bottom chassie. To remedy this the chassie needs adjusting to clear the servosaver. Here seen from bottom side: File comment: Here it can clearly be seen that the servo saver does NOT clear the bottom of the chassie DSC00578_cropped.JPG [ 83.76 KiB | Viewed 4690 times ] and here from above. (mounted as per default in description) File comment: Servo saver is not possible to mount as it hits the edge of the hole in the bottom chassie DSC00577.JPG [ 150.26 KiB | Viewed 4690 times ] I will probably use my dremel to make the hole larger towards the back to enable the servo saver to be attached properly. |

Could you not move the servo ahead with the other set of holes, then use different spaces on the servo mounts to get the right ackerman? |
