Hi everyone!! Getting back into racing from a 15+ year break and have picked up a 2016 X12. Back in the day I was a Trinity driver mainly racing the old Trinity 12P Revolver in 6-cell mod on asphalt (never raced on carpet). Also ran a Trinity EV-10 as well. The X12 will be my first non T-bar car. I won't even get into Lipo and brushless motor confusion During my break I've been racing sports cars, mainly vintage Porsches. I will be racing at N-Control here in Austin, TX (http://ncontrolrc.com/facility/). Are there any idiosyncrasies I should no about? Guessing tweaking is the same just adjust the side springs to get even lift of the rear wheels. I have printed out 2 of Ed Clarks asphalt setups as a starting point. Anything else I should know? Thanks, Ned |

Robbie, thanks for the response. Unfortunately I won't be at Mats as my son plays college football and that is opening weekend. Most of my fall weekends are tied up with football. I I may make it out to watch on Sunday afternoon. |

Ran a couple of packs through the car on Sunday. Not enough people showed up to race (heat) so just a practice day. First time in about 20 years to run a 12th scale and did OK. Very consistent lap times. However, gearing is way off. Brushless motors and Lipos are way different than brushed and NiMH What 70T 64P spurs will work without having to get new diff balls? |
