Have i have attached my current setup, yesterday it lacked a lot of steering when exiting the turns and applying power. Some of this might be driver technique etc but I felt it was more something to do with setup.

the car is pretty soft all round, when I go stiffer it just gets harder to drive

can anyone recomend any changes to get the car to exit turns better, it felt like i was waiting ages before i could apply the power also had to lift on the sweeper at the end of the straight

thanks

Hi Niall

Have you tried changing the caster or dynamic caster?

I've been trying to read up on what changes might help that situation, but I confess those are two settings I haven't tried myself.

I had to go to 1.5 degrees of camber with the Xenon 2 degree blocks to get my steering back. The inclined blocks take away camber gain when turning the wheels. You can also run full reactive caster with them.

Going to 4mm rear ride height with 3.5 in the front will give more steering in the center of the corner and exit.

The contact white front rims are very very soft and this makes the steering, well, weird.
I suggest try different wheels.

You could try gold spring to add weight to front tires while accelerating. Play also with spring angle.
Remove front end downstop. usually the lower balls get sloppy in arms. Replace arms often to get rid of slop :)
You could also increase rear droop to see does that help.
EA's tip about ride height difference could be a good one 8)

Thanks guys,

Skiddins, If I make the next shootout i will try different caster.

Thanks EA will give that a try, do you mean 7.5* reactive?

Peakki, i was told to reduce droop to gain exit steering?

Out of interest, have you tried Spider Blue additive instead of green on the same track?

I tried it last night at Newbury (the rest of the setup the same) and the car seemed much better balance and the steering was more aggressive than I'm used to.

I'm not saying it will give you exactly what you want, but I was surprised at ho much difference it makes.
