Post subject: | cables from ESC to motor |
Hi folks, I'm new to 1:12 and the X12 2014 is my second pancar ever. Yesterday I tried to fit the electronics in my chassis and I'm wondering how I could manage to install the cables going from the ESC to the motor in a way that the POD could still move freely?!??! Any suggestions? Right now I just go over the carbon brace but the the cables hit the car body and I think that ain't good either. Regards, Mike |

Hey Mike, What gauge wire are you running? Most guys are running either 14 or even 16 gauge for 12th scale. Here is a "first pass" of my current setup: I say "first pass" because it takes a few times to get it right, in particular getting the left-right balance of the car as close as possible. I've made a few changes to this (turned the battery around and shortened the leads for one) but it should get you started. Don't be afraid to re-wire after a race day! Luke |

x12 2014 shock mod.jpg [ 119.23 KiB | Viewed 3845 times ] I use TQ wire 16 gauge.... best wires on the market. Super flexible yet enough power transfer. |
