how much preload you have to give the side cushions? which has the effect of hardening the central strut machine? and hardening the lateral stems? front track (mm)? body height at the rear? that hardness of tires uses (sh) and mix carpet or on road? thank you very much |

I use preload so that the side springs are barely touching the carbon plate, this will make the car easy to drive without being twitchy or wanting to spin out. This is how 90% of drivers set-up their cars. If you are referring to the center shock and/or spring, making it harder will definitely increase on-power steering, but will make the car more difficult over bumpy sections. Hardening the side springs will provide more steering response, but will make the car harder to drive. The car will have less rear traction by stiffening the side springs, making it want to slide more - which can be beneficial for very high traction surfaces. Front track width - I use the kit setting which equals ~167-168mm front track width depending on the wheels and toe-out setting. Hardness of tires - for carpet we tend to use very soft compounds. 30 shore front and 25-30 shore rear is a good starting point. The new X, Y, Z compounds for the rear will provide lots of traction with a hint of understeer. Body height at the rear - measured when the car stands on the ground, ready to run, should measure around 79mm to the top of the rear part of the body (Protoform AMR). See picture. |

You can use XRAY 372086 - X12 Carbon in the car X12'14? how many shims must be installed to use this option? |

X12 and X12 2014 have the same front width as per standard kit setting so no shims will be needed to fit that brace. |
