Hello, I tried to install the clutch on the 353 09 engine, using the short of the 2 cones that come with the engine. The longer cone gives even worst results. The problem is that the distance from the top of the flywheel nut until the end of the crankshaft is only 9.0 and there is not much space left to achieve clutch gap 0.6 or 0.7. The maximum clutch gap I can achieve is 0.4. What do you recommend? Thanks in advance Dimitris |

This was talked some time time ago, the solution: put some shims in front of the crankshaft, between bushing and crankshaft, so you lenghten the crankshaft, did you understand what I mean? |

Yes, I got it. You mean the 3x5 shims. Thanks |

If there is some space between the flywheel and the engine front bearing you can always grind off some material of the conus to find some tenths of a mm. |

O no, that is not needed. The working of the clamp on the shaft will not be affected, so the flywheel will still be mounted straight. Just use some sandpaper on a flat surface and rubb the conus over it. |
