You would need to ask Alum how to set the shock rebound. I think the procedure Osiris refers to is for Xray shocks. Does Alum have a Forum like this - I doubt it!! |

I just realised that you probably meant Xray Aluminium shocks, don't know if this will help viewtopic.php?t=5351. |

NO- Rebound......NOT POSSIBLE If you think about it, when you compress a shock, it builds preasure in the shock body as the shock shaft enters the shock oil. That preasure has to go somewhere, usualy the shock bladder will be compressed and that is what will return/extend the shock shaft (rebound). When you set rebound when you build them, you have the option to bleed off the preasure when you put the cap on the top of the shock body.. You can however have a shock that has very little rebound by compressing the shock fully when you put the top on the shock body. You will however find that the shock will create air bubbles when you extend the shock shaft. The only way you could create a NO REBOUND shock is if you had to use no shock oil and no bladder and drilled a hole in the side of the shock. This would leave just a spring. This would be good for what reason? I can think of one, you wanted a car that was uncontrolable or bounced around a lot ![]() |
