Roll center is one of the most difficult things to understand in race car dynamics. if you really want to understand it i advise you to get a book about race car dynamics. it's too much information now for me to type here. Have you read the roll center chapter in your setup book already?. there it is explained in a simple version and they tell what it does to the car. But rollcenter controls the initial roll of the car and the force needed for a amount of roll. For example if you need a lot of camber to let the tyres wear properly, most of the time your rollcenter is set wrong. but as i said to fully take advantage off it it is really difficult. |

Reading the chapter in the book is what got me to the question I'm testing out different things with the car and wanted to know a little more of how RC affects the handling. |

Sorry, but I don't see a direct link from high camber to soft spring and ammo. Normally I do not change 3.5° of rear camber, while I change springs (and oil) from medium, medium-hard and hard dueing to track surface and grip condition. |

When you have a change in grip from track to track, and sometimes even on the same track, you most likely will have to change at least your rear camber. On the same track and with the same setup, I've had to run 3.5d rear camber when grip was low and 4.5d rear camber when grip was very high. On a very low grip parking lot track, with almost the same setup (lighter rear diff oil and more rear toe-in), I've had to reduce the rear camber to 3.25d. |

Just take a search to "susprog" , it is a nice piece of software to calculate the suspension. |
